SPEC SHEETS FOR BLUE TORNADO CYCLONE SYSTEMS

COMMERCIAL SYSTEMS

The commercial systems are our best value.

Each commercial system comes complete with the Cyclone model as described above, with USA made, all cast aluminum Blower equipped with a Franklin Electric motor.  The Blower housings are cast aluminum and the outlet can be oriented in the direction your shop layout dictates.  The impellers are 8- and 9-bladed cast aluminum designs with excellent airflow and are statically and dynamically balanced.  These are the highest efficiency units designed for use with a plenum and filter tubes.  The filter tubes are made by Apel International, and have been tested by an independent lab to ½ micron.  They achieve this level of filtration with far fewer square feet of filter area because they are non-woven.  This means fewer tubes taking up room in your shop.  3 tubes are included with a 102, and 4 tubes with a 103.  The plenum is easily constructed using ½” plywood and all hardware is included.

RETROFIT SYSTEMS

We offer our products in the systems packages listed above at significant savings, or as individual pieces, which allow you to purchase only the parts you need to retrofit your existing system.  The 102 and 103 Cyclones listed below are Cyclone systems (Cyclone, legs, drum, and connection kit from Cyclone to drum) without the Blower and filter assemblies.  The commercial systems described above are the complete packages (which includes the Blower, motor, pedestal and filter assemblies).

MODEL 102

This unit is designed to be used with our 2 horsepower Blowers and filtration kit for the best small shop system available, the 102 Commercial.  It has been purchased independently by some of our customers to mate with their import 1.5-3 HP chip collectors to create an entry-level dust management system.

MODEL 103

We sell this Cyclone for use with our 3 horsepower industrial Blower system (or retrofit with 3-7.5 hp imports).  This unit also comes complete with Cyclone, legs, drum and connection kit.

TYPICAL INSTALLATION

Workshops are as individual as the craftspeople that use them, so every installation is different.  We offer FREE assistance in planning your shop layout.  We also sell the fittings you will need for a good system.  When thinking about your layout, remember that the most efficient system is one that sucks the dust through the Cyclone rather than blowing it through.  Some of our industrial customers do mount their Cyclones over dumpsters and mount their Blowers on the ‘dirty air’ side.  Our Cyclones are raw steel on the inside to allow for electrical grounding purposes.  Blowers come with TEFC motors, but our recommendation, as with any electrical device, is to always protect your system from exposure to the elements.

SHIPPING INFORMATION

Model 102 Cyclone retrofit (Cyclone and drum) is shipped via UPS.  The average shipping cost in the US is approximately $65.00.  All other products are shipped via common carrier, or the carrier of your choice, with average shipping charges of $130.00.  Once an order is placed, please allow 6 to 8 weeks for delivery.
